Meeting Date: March 8, 2016
NOTE: THIS IS BYOD! What is BYOD? Bring Your Own Dinner. We’re trying something new this month, so the normal buffet dinner is not being provided. You’ll notice that the cost is significantly less as well! UIndy has a snack bar and dining hall options in Schwitzer Hall. Check in will also start half an hour later than usual!
Meeting Topic:
You will learn how Total Employee Engagement (TEE) at the Raytheon Indianapolis facility leverages the creativity of employees by empowering them to drive innovation and continuously improve business processes through daily application of lean and Raytheon Six Sigma tools and techniques. All employees, including front line employees, are empowered to identify and solve problems or obstacles to achieving organizational goals. Employees are seen as “problem solvers” and just not as a source of labor.
TEE recognizes that it’s too easily to be caught up in those large, “break-through” innovations and miss the significance of smaller improvement opportunities. TEE harnesses the collective contributions of small incremental implemented improvements to reduce cycle and lead times, improve the bottom line, increase safety, and exceed quality requirements that over time lead to enhanced business results creating a sustainable competitive advantage. Could your organization cultivate strengths of all your people to become stronger and more competitive than those that do not create this advantage?
